This homeowner reached out to us because they had multiple leaks. It was a beautiful, historic home built in 1924. The stunning, clay tile roof was original to the home and built with some of the most renowned clay tiles in the world - Ludowici. During the inspection process we found several other leaks the homeowner was unaware of. There was also a century's worth of debris that had created a dam around the perimeter of the house and caused the roofing system to hold water. This led to rotted decking. We were able to salvage this historic tile by carefully detaching it, removing the debris, and replacing the decking to create a sound structure for the tiles to be relaid. We then reset the tiles, preserving the timelessness of the home.
